Britney Spears - Filming Practice

 
As a group, we decided to practice filming a music video before we filmed our own,  the video by Britney Spears was decided by the teacher.

Before filming, we went through the video on Youtube and took screenshots and made a small storyboard from the screenshots.


 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
During this we got a better idea of using camera shots & angles with a camera and positioning props and actors within the camera shots & angles. Editing this short clip also prepared us for editing the ancillary task and let us become familiar with the software we were going to use.

Digipak Practise Shots




 
 

Digipak inspiration?

For my Digipak, I got my inspiration from an advertisement from a band called 'Lamb of God.' The song I chose was called 'A Light in a Darkened World' and one of the key lyric in the music video is 'It's in your hands' and this picture seemed to tie in quite well. So I decided to take inspiration from it and steal the idea of the cupped hands, but instead of flames they would have light emitting from the hands. I was tempted to also have the silhouettes of the band members in the background but I didn't want to completely copy the design of this advertisement.

Instead of 'IN THEATRES WINTER 2014' I would replace it with the name of the band and 'AS THE PLACES BURN' with the name of the song.
