This video is a narrative based concept video which is based around western cowboys and love. The video goes against typical stereotypes as the female in the video is the hero and the male is the one in need of help. Throughout the video there is a lot of extreme close ups of the eyes and cuts between the characters to show the contrast between good and evil. Although it is narrative based the western theme of it does not fit in with the genre and what the music is made for - clubbing, which goes against the typical codes and conventions of a dance music video. One code and convention that it does have is the attractive female who plays the main character in the video.
During the video there is a wide range of camera angles and shots used. Near the start there is an establishing shot to set the scene and instantly tell the audience that the theme of the video will be related to the West, also, towards the end of the establishing shot if tilts up towards the sun - a big part of the music video. There are a few high and low angle shots in the video to show the shift in power between good and evil, for example, when the female character saves the male - there is a low angle shot of her on the horse to show she is in control and the most dominant character at that time. During the video there are also faded used to show the passing of time without having to indicate that time has changed using words on the screen which makes the video looks more professional and more appealing to the audience. When the camera focuses in on the eyes of the characters the colour of the screen changes colour, this may have done to attach a certain colour and it's connotations to a character, eg red - evil.
